Why should I have my recital professionally recorded? Giving a recital is a very special one-time event. It may only last an hour, yet represents years work. You (and your family) will certainly want to remember and revisit this special event in the future. A high quality recording will be a great archive, yet it can also be a tremendous learning tool. As a full time audio engineer for many years, and a K-State music department graduate, Kyle Arnold can be trusted to make a great sounding recording. His collection of recording tools are truly the best money can buy, yet due to the long term arrangement with the music department, recording fees are kept low. Hire ASR and you'll have a top quality professional recording and a lasting document of your recital.

Can you record my recital somewhere other than AFC? Sure. Forum Hall, McCain Auditorium, and the MAC are popular alternatives in Manhattan. We have an additional $20 charge for recording in locations other than AFC.

My recital is scheduled at the same time as another KSU event. Can you record multiple events at once? Yes, we have recorded 2 and even 3 events simultaneously. If you book your recital early, we have the staff and equipment to make sure it gets recorded.

I'm thinking about recording a studio multi-track project. Can you do that? You bet. We've produced and recorded quite a few acoustic as well as pop artists and groups in addition to recording classical artists and collegiate groups. We have a well equipped studio complete with acoustically treated rooms and the top grade equipment you would expect in a professional facility. Call (785) 776-9902 for more information.

RECITAL TIPS:
1) Plan a well-rounded recital. Consider having a duet or ensemble piece in addition to the solo material. Variety is always nice. Be creative and give a recital that is as unique as you are.
2) Practice a lot. And then practice some more. Hard work pays dividends in music and in life!
3) Take it easy on recital day. Get plenty of rest before your performance, be positive and stay relaxed. Load up on healthy foods including oranges and bananas. Drink plenty of liquids.
4) Talk a friend or family member into bringing snacks after the recital. Some of your audience may have traveled a great distance. Food is a good thing.
5) Remember to have fun. Performing should be fun!
